A Coastal Spring Wedding at Hideaway Beach Club

I had the joy of designing Cassidy and Karstyn’s stationery for their gorgeous Spring wedding at Hideaway Beach Club in Marco Island. We leaned into the coastal destination, given their ceremony would happen right on the beach. Since the traditional coastal blues were so prevalent in their surroundings, we grounded the design with combinations of sandy beige, pale pink, and ivory for balance.

For their invitations, we drew inspiration from a previous suite I designed to highlight that coastal setting in a fresh, fun way. A scalloped shell tag was used as their reply card, featuring the online RSVP details. We pulled in more scalloped details through the custom liner artwork and the shape of the details card. A more casual calligraphy style and illustrative elements kept things feeling light and not overly-formal, to reflect their fun-loving personalities. The custom liner artwork featured scallop shapes in a loose illustration style, pulling all the colors together in a cohesive element.

Their wedding day began by getting ready with their dearest people. The two exchanged private vows during their first look, and the entire wedding party brought the love and energy leading up to the ceremony.

Their ceremony was held right on the beach, amongst all their loved ones. Seats were reserved for some of their dearest guests and the florals lined the aisle. There wasn’t a dry eye to be found!

Transitioning into cocktail hour, we designed some fun day-of elements for their reception. As guests approached the bar, they could find custom cups, printed with the artwork we created for their envelope liners, as well as monogrammed napkins and stir sticks. Their signature drink was such a fun play on words. Since their wedding was held over the Master’s weekend, we blended The Azalea drink with their pup Hallie. I love how the bright red drink popped against the design of the cups! Scalloped shaped escort tags were hung from their custom blue wall to guide guests into their tables.

Inside the reception space, everything felt serene and coastal, to honor the setting at Hideaway. The custom menus were a folded and die cut shell. Guests found their names on the front and then opened the shells to reveal the menu - custom tailored with their entree selection. A fun addition was seeing their K&C monogram carried over onto the cake.

The night ended in dancing, a gorgeous sunset, and some late-night pizzas to keep the party going. Since their wedding day, Cass has shared with me the sweetest messages from their loved ones. Their family flew home with the stir sticks and send her photos every time they use them! I love how these day-of elements can turn into a keepsake. Cassidy & Karstyn, it was a joy being a part of your day!
