A Romantic Spring Wedding at La Casa Toscana
I had the joy of working alongside Lexi and J on their wedding stationery, from invitations through their day-of paper. It was a dream team to be brought into - working alongside the Faithful team at La Casa Toscana, some of my very favorites! From the very beginning, it was clear that Lexi and J were very family-oriented people. They both come from close-knit families with generations of strong marriages, which was a big inspiration to them as they chose to take this step. They also had a great eye for design and wanted to pull in some romantic, Italian-inspired elements to complement the space.
The two were married in a church ceremony in Fort Myers before transitioning back over to La Casa Toscana for the reception. Their invitation suite was rooted in tones of pinks and greens, layered textures, and floral accents. The handmade paper invitation was letterpress printed with a venue illustration of La Casa Toscana. We incorporated stripes and florals throughout the insert cards, with the most perfectly sourced vintage artwork for the envelope liner - it tied the whole suite together! The suite itself was a blend of old and new, from the printing processes to the handmade nature of the materials, which was a beautiful picture of their wedding celebration to come.
After the ceremony, everyone transitioned over to La Casa Toscana for the remainder of the celebration. Lexi and Jon continued their portraits while guests enjoyed cocktail hour out on the patio. The live band had the most entertaining musicians, bringing the party all night. We created linen signage for an organic feel, pulling in elements of calligraphy to mirror their invitation suite and complement the existing draping in the pergolas.
In the reception design, the linens pulled in more of the pattern play with stripes and florals. They were the inspiration behind much of our design! The menu cards included striped place cards, all tied together with silk ribbon. We selected ribbon colors that would also serve as meal indicators, allowing for a smooth catering experience and still being beautiful. Lexi and J entered the party with their hype-squad and danced the night away! It was a special balance of heartfelt toasts, prayer, and a real fun party - the ultimate celebration for a very deserving couple!
