A Fresh Take on a Coastal Cape Cod Celebration
Nikki and Brian were married at Pelham House Resort in Dennis Port, Massachusetts last June. From the very beginning, I had the joy of encountering Nikki’s sweetness and excitement for her wedding. The two are college sweethearts who had moved out to the West Coast for several years. Planning their wedding across the country from different time zones was something that Devyn managed with ease, ensuring that everyone felt well informed and connected throughout the entire process.
I like to call their suite California cool-meets-coastal Cape Cod. It’s coastal, but not in your typical blue hydrangea type of way. It was fresh, layered, and rooted in neutral tones. For their suite, we took on a fun, looser style of illustration and calligraphy. Scalloped details, from the green weekend events card to the die cut reply tag, allowed for a textural moment to shine. My personal favorite element was the custom liner artwork I created for them. Inspired by wallpaper patterns and shades of green, we created another scalloped element to tie it all together.
Nikki said it best herself when she told me, “I didn’t know I could feel this way about paper!”

The ceremony was held out on the lawn, overlooking the water. The ceremony florals felt like the most natural extension of the space, framing Nikki and Brian as they shared their heartfelt vows. Once inside, the reception space was set with the most stunning ivory draping. Warm candlelight created a cozy mood as everyone gathered together over kind words, happy tears, and lots of laughs. The evening ended with a ‘Disco & Diet Coke’ themed party, featuring cutouts of their beloved pets. Nikki & Brian, it was a joy getting to know you both and play a small role in your day! We are honored to have this beautiful day featured in Loverly’s real weddings.
